Workshop: Crankable Creations with artist Tim Harper
September 8, 1–3pm
Join Building Worlds artist Tim Harper for an exciting hands-on experience! Explore the intersection of art and engineering when you learn to create your own kinetic art box. Using balsa wood, dowels, and other simple materials, you will learn how a simple wheel and axle can be used to produce a variety of movements and mechanisms. Use your crankable creation to spin a mini umbrella, bounce a googly monster, or do whatever else you can dream up! Adults may come on their own and do not need to be accompanied by a child, it will be fun for everyone). Ages 6 and up. Registration coming soon.
