Summer Art Camp — For School Aged Children

This summer, GreaterRestonArtsCenter has invited three talented artists to run wild with their imaginations and take a room of young artists along for the journey. Children who have completed K-6th grades have the unique opportunity to learn from the artistic mastery and creative innovations of Erin Antognoli, Doug Moulden, and Ashley Wells, all of whom have exhibited with GRACE this past year. These week-long sessions are designed for children who want to spend a full morning exploring materials and methods. Each class urges the children to push the bounds of their imagination and ability! This camp meets at a local elementary school.

Creation Station Summer Camp 2010 — For Preschool Audiences

This summer, Julie Liddle, founder of Art in Hand®, will introduce our youngest audiences to the creative process alongside a parent or caregiver. The one-hour morning sessions are packed with developmentally appropriate art projects and sensory exploration that allow preschoolers, 3-5 years of age, to find inspiration in literature and nature, and to explore innovative approaches with traditional art materials as well as natural and found objects, including paint, collage, mixed media and 3-D work. This program meets 1 morning per week for 4 weeks in the Learning Center at Greater Reston Arts Center.
JJ Blum, experienced art teacher and storyteller, continues her relationship with Greater Reston Arts Center by offering a series of summer classes for preschool children, aged 3-5, who are accompanied by an adult. Her one hour class will meet 1 morning per week for 4 weeks in the Learning Center at Greater Reston Arts Center. This year, JJ will help you beat the summer heat with a journey to Winter Wonderlands using a variety of stories and hands-on projects.
