GRACE is dedicated to presenting contemporary art that illuminates new ideas and promotes dialogue between artists and the audience. The exhibition program offers artists from across the mid-Atlantic region opportunities to experiment and expand their work in a flexible, supportive atmosphere.
Gallery exhibitions are scheduled from September through July and include Focus Exhibitions for individual artists, thematic shows, site-specific and inter-active installations, an annual all-media juried exhibition, Emerging Visions featuring young artists, the September C-Note Sale, and Art for Giving. The annual Northern Virginia Arts Festival, a two-day juried show, attracts over 185 artists from around the country. GRACE also sponsors opening receptions, artist talks, lectures, hands-on workshops, readings, film nights, and other educational programs as part of its mission to engage the community in contemporary art. These stimulating events are often the beginning of a night out at one of the many nearby restaurants in Reston Town Center. |
