Now in its 30th year, the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival has a long-standing reputation for showcasing high quality, hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind artwork in a dynamic, outdoor setting. The Festival provides an opportunity to engage directly with exceptional artists, as juried in by leading art practitioners and fellow artists in the visual arts field, that meet a high level of artistic standards. This unique open-air event is presented in Reston Town Center and attracts affluent patrons and knowledgeable collectors from the Washington, DC metropolitan region and beyond. This year, the 2021 Festival will implement new health and safety adaptations for the care and consideration of all.
Artist applications are accepted through ZAPPlication through December 27, 2020.
The annual Festival is a competitive, juried event that is consistently rated as one of the best outdoor art festivals in the country, both for the quality of the artwork presented and for its exceptional artist hospitality. This event is produced as a fundraiser for Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE), a dynamic cultural institution with a 47-year history in providing excellence in contemporary visual art. The funds generated support the institution’s year-round exhibitions and educational programming, which are always free and open to the public. GRACE strives to prepare the best platform for artists to make connections with patrons, to share and sell artwork while keeping the cost to artists as low as possible.
The Festival has received acclaim from many media outlets including The Washington Post. It has been named Top 50 of “America’s Best Art Fairs” and one of the top shows on the east coast both by ArtFairInsiders.com, and named by Sunshine Artist Magazine as one of the “The Top 100 Best Fine Art and Design Shows.”
The elevated profile of the Festival helps to reach new audiences, area businesses, and partners by providing a content-rich, arts-focused experience. Contributions from Festival sponsors will bolster the event’s ability to impacts arts and community, to benefit local businesses, and to support Greater Reston Arts Center’s (GRACE) mission to enrich quality of life by promoting involvement and excellence in contemporary visual arts.
